The casting is completely manufactured at the factory.<\/p>\n<p>The 45 degree slant bed provides optimum chip flow for chip removal. The entire base is engineered to eliminate unwanted machine vibration.\u00a0 This thoroughly tested and proven machine design delivers rigidity, accuracy, and performance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>MAIN SPINDLE<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The B1250L incorporates a wide-rage 53 horsepower Fanuc built-in spindle drive motor inside the turret disc.\u00a0 This built in motor is thermally stabilized with a cooling unit.<\/p>\n<p>The motor has an electronic type C axis. Milling, drilling, tapping and cam profiling can be performed with the interpolation for the X, Z, C, and axes.<\/p>\n<p>The spindle operates from 0 to 3,000 RPM.\u00a0 The wide range, constant output spindle motor provides powerful cutting throughout the spindle speed range.\u00a0 Additionally, the spindle features a 2-speed electronic \u201cgearbox\u201d to provide high speed cutting at top spindle RPM, while high torque is available at lower spindle speeds for heavy duty chucking.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>TURRET<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The B1250L horizontal axis turret is made at the factory.\u00a0 This 16 station bi-directional turret can accept 16 power driven tools. The driven tools engage directly, thanks to the built-in (thermally stabilized) spindle motor inside the turret disc.\u00a0 The turret index speed is a fast 0.3 seconds.\u00a0 The ability of the turret to \u201cindex on the fly\u201d further reduces idle time.<\/p>\n<p>Bi-directional turret indexing allows the turret to automatically take the shortest path to the next selected cutting tool station.\u00a0 The design and speed of the high-capacity turret yields reduced cycle times and lower part cost.<\/p>\n<h3>REVOLVING TOOL ATTACHMENT<\/h3>\n<p>Cross-end drilling, milling and tapping operations can be performed using power driven tools.\u00a0 This capability eliminates the need to perform secondary operations on a mill, thus reducing handling times and increasing productivity.<\/p>\n<p>The tools are driven by a 23.5 horsepower Fanuc AC spindle motor.\u00a0 The motor provides 41 foot pounds of torque.\u00a0 Both the main and sub spindles are equipped with C axis and a disc brake which ensures accurate spindle positioning, allowing heavy cuts to be performed.\u00a0 The C axis control can be turned on without stopping the spindle or reducing cycle times.\u00a0 Both C axes positioning is accomplished with rotary Heidenhien scales.<\/p>\n<h3>AXIS DRIVES<\/h3>\n<p>The X, Z, and B axes are driven by precision ball screws and pre-loaded ball screw nuts, center mounted between the ways for optimum drive conditions.\u00a0 Automatic lubrication on all ways provides smoother operation and reduced maintenance expense.\u00a0 All drives are protected by covers and chip guards to prevent damage from coolant and chips.\u00a0 The drive motors are all AC Fanuc closed-loop servo drives.<\/p>\n<h3>TOOL PROBE<\/h3>\n<p>The electronic probe makes for fast and easy setting of tools, while avoiding the danger of operator error.\u00a0 The operator simply pushes a button to touch off the tools after each set up or insert change.\u00a0 The system automatically sends all data relevant to tool position to the CNC unit for storage.<\/p>\n<h3>RIGID TAPPING &amp; POLGYONAL TURNING-STANDARD<\/h3>\n<p>Rigid tapping is fast, quick, easy yields precise threads, and does not need tap-holders with adjusted stroke.\u00a0 It is controlled through an M-function, which synchronizes rotation with slide feed and is available on main, sub spindles.<\/p>\n<h3>OPTIONAL: PROGRAMMABLE PARTS CATCHER AND CONVEYOR<\/h3>\n<p>The parts catcher is programmable for continuous bar work operation.\u00a0 After machining, the part drops into a parts catcher bucket.\u00a0 The parts catcher then deposits the part onto a parts conveyor, which transports the part into a parts pan.\u00a0 It can be set to work on either main or sub spindle.<\/p>\n<h3>HIGH PRESSURE COOLANT SYSTEM<\/h3>\n<p>The high pressure coolant is fed through the turret for the station in use to tip off the cutting tool. The high pressure coolant pump is start\/stop programmable and capable of providing 60 gpm.\u00a0 This system provides maximum chip clearing<\/p>\n<h3>CHIP CONVEYOR<\/h3>\n<p>The chip conveyor provides automatic chip disposal.\u00a0 The chip conveyor is located below the work area and chips are channeled out of the machine for easy discharge into a chip cart.<\/p>\n<p>On and off times are controlled through the P.C. timers to save coolant and reduce waste.<\/p>\n<h3>AIR CONDITIONED CABINETS<\/h3>\n<p>The electronic cabinet is kept at a constant temperature by a sophisticated air conditioning system.\u00a0 This system decreases maintenance downtime and cost.\u00a0 Using environmentally safe refrigerant, it also lengthens the life of the machine\u2019s control and PC boards.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>FANUC EASY Plus CONTROL with CUSTOM OPERATOR PANEL<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The machine utilizes a Eurotech Elite EASY Plus control with a 32-bit hi-speed Pentium microprocessor.\u00a0 Part program cycle time is reduced to obtain a higher level of productivity.<\/p>\n<p>Eurotech Elite\u2019s 2D &amp; 3D graphic parts cutting display allows programming accuracy to be checked prior to actual machining by displaying the programmed tool path in graphic form on the 15\u201d color LCD screen.<\/p>\n<p>Eurotech Elite\u2019s work coordinate system sets the tool indexing position, simplifying programming and tool set-up and reducing machining time.\u00a0 The turret can be programmed to be indexed anywhere along the slide axes;
